Entry form now available please find under Entry Form tab

Swim Conwy started September 2008 as a result of Swim Wales regionalisation plan; there are centres of excellence strategically located throughout Wales with Swim Conwy being one located in the brand new state of the art 8 lane deck level pool situated on Llandudno which is noted as being the fastest short course pool in the country with World, European and National records being set at the 2010 National Disability Meet. A full 20 hour LTAD water based programme runs Monday to Friday 5.30 – 7.30 am & 4.30 – 6.30pm Under and over water cameras are strategically placed around the pool feeding into the state of art computer system to ensure that swimmers and coaches can immediately view and evaluate stroke work on our plasma screens In addition, the water based programme is underpinned by full access to our gym facility here in the centre; gym programmes are individually designed and monitored to suite the athlete. Swimmers are also able to access an excellent local physiotherapy centre specialising in sport injury and prevention within a 5 minute drive. The squad comprises of a flow through of swimmers (meeting the entry/selection criteria) registered in the constituent clubs in Conwy, namely Llandudno ASC, Colwyn Bay ASC & Abergele ASC Following the start of the programme progress has been immense to say the least with swimmers making headway up the regional, National (Welsh) and GB ranking systems. Success has come in many forms with swimmers being selected for international honours @ the Youth Commonwealth Games (Pune India) with a podium place, UK Schools Games & Celtic Tri Nations, National honours have come in the form of many podium places at ASA National Championships, Welsh National Championships as well as numerous regional titles and all this achieved in a very short space of time.
